the sister piece to part 1 and it’s to be treated in same way. i like to perform these pieces differently every time, varying the number of repeats, playing with the dynamics and tone colours but particularly exploring the tension between the polyrhythm (2 against 3) by gradually fading in and out the bass voice, almost surreptitiously drawing the listeners attention from one part to the other.
